We are hoping we can organise a retreat a year in both the south and the north, as a minimum once we are up and running. We may want to build up to larger retreats, or more frequent or longer retreats, subject to venues and numbers of members doing service, once things are established.
The first step is to formulate a SLAA UK residential retreat blueprint or model to present for approval at Intergroup, once this is done we then have a mandate to go ahead and organise retreats with less input from Intergroup, just a simple motion to approve the broader details.
We are circulating a questionnaire throughout the UK fellowship, to gather feedback and info on what our members want out of an SLAA retreat. See the survey at slaauk.org/retreats-survey
The retreats committee reports quarterly at Intergroup where your home meeting GSR will hear this information, bring it back to the meeting and forward any questions your group has for Intergroup or its committees.
